Where It All Began

With love and gratitude, I want to share that this spring marks the final season for Malina’s Dresses in Hawaii. I opened this boutique in 1986 as a 22-year-old fashion student in Hawaii, never imagining how deeply it would become part of my life. Over the years, this little shop grew into more than a place to find dresses — it became a warm and welcoming space shaped by wonderful customers, shared stories, and the effortless beauty of island-inspired style.

A Lifetime of Passion and Inspiration

For decades, I poured my heart into creating dresses inspired by the colors, warmth, and relaxed spirit of Hawaii. Every design reflects the joy of island life — ocean breezes, sun-filled days, and moments that feel both simple and special. What began as a small dream slowly grew into a lifelong passion, shared with women who value comfort, confidence, and timeless style.

A Gentle Farewell

Now, at 62, I find myself at a moment I never imagined — it’s time to step away from the boutique I built and spend more time with my family and my grandchildren. As this chapter comes to a close, I’m holding One Last Spring Sale, with up to 80% off all dresses, so every remaining piece can find a new home. Thank you for being part of this journey and for carrying a little piece of Malina’s Dresses with you.
